Burn Pizza + Bar Turns Into Coworking Space During the Day
The following excerpt is taken from Eater Austin:
Bridget Dunlap's Burn Pizza + Bar on East 6th Street is now being used as a coworking space during the daytime hours thanks to a new local startup called Switch Cowork. The company works to reimagine the empty bars and restaurants into unique shared work spaces for roving freelancers, consultants, entrepreneurs, and other digital drifters during the day. Burn Pizza is its first collaboration.
Members of Switch Cowork pay $99 per month or $10 for a day pass to work in the space. Membership benefits include coffee, cold brew, snacks, parking, wifi, charging stations, a variety of “desk” options, and exclusive specials such as free events and 15% off anything at Burn Pizza. There are no long-term commitments — members can cancel at any time.
Co-founders Christa Freeland and Jacob Morin launched Switch last Monday, followed up with a free week of coworking through that Friday. As of then, 17 people signed up for a Switch membership, reported Community Impact.
